On a snowy mid-December night in Covington, ME, a young woman not from town is brought into the hospital unconscious having been pulled from the icy river following an accident on the bridge. Physically all right with only a mild concussion and some minor scrapes and bruises, she nonetheless awakens with a case of retrograde amnesia, more problematic as no one in town knows who she is with all her possessions, including her identification, lost probably somewhere in the river.
